Time Inc. announced it has integrated Apple Pay into their apps, enabling subscribers to easily pay for their purchases.

This means Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, People and Real Simple readers will be able to renew or pay for their subscription directly from their Apple device. Other Time brands will follow at a future date. Time will also soon sell products and services via Apple Pay.

“Offering Apple Pay as a checkout option for our products and services provides an easier, frictionless purchase experience for existing and new customers,” said Jen Wong, President of Digital of Time Inc. “As consumers continue to engage with us more heavily on mobile, Apple Pay equips us with a seamless way to deliver core and new paid products and services to them.”

While consumers still earn debit and credit card rewards through Apple Pay, the transactions are safer since card numbers are not stored on the device or Apple servers. Instead, a unique account number is assigned to the device, and transactions are authorized with a one-time security code.

Apple Pay is also easy to use. Customers can use Touch ID to verify their identity, and no longer need to fill out account forms or enter their shipping and billing information. Apple Pay works with iPhone 6 and later, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 and later, and is available in Safari on any Mac released in 2012 or later.
